Ski race training series 2017 #2

The 2nd event of the ski racing training series took place on the 7th May. The un-seasonal weather was no better than it had been a few weeks earlier for the first round. A brisk northerly wind gusting to around 20 mph brought choppy conditions on the course further offshore. The water was however flatter further inshore. A slightly shorter course was used today with a shorter time due to the conditions.
Again only 2 teams were present due to crew shortage and mechanical issues for other teams.
This time there were no mechanical issues on the water and both teams completed the course without issue. For most of the time Dave held a short lead over Simon having the benefit of the inside line. However towards the end Mac made a surge on the final leg to pull the Bullet team to within 5 seconds of the Clean Sweep crew. 
The final results were:

Clean Sweep: 1000.00  (D.Owens, R.Rudland, J.Gilderoy)
Bullett:               994.75   (S.Binks, N.Mackechnie, M.Walker)
