Frostbite race 2019

The annual Frostbite race took place on the 8th of December. The weather this year almost brought proceedings to a halt with gale force winds throughout the day. This did not deter the skiers though and despite the strong winds the temperature was quite mild with plenty of sunshine.

The event is meant to be a head to head race however more often it is an individual time trial over 5km. This always produces close times with skiers limited to a pair of skis running the same course.

This year Dave Owens regained the title of Frostbite winner completing the 5km in 5 mins 27 seconds. Results and laps splits are below. Thanks to all that took part and helped and to Ann for braving the weather to take pictures.
